Vadodara-based
Excel Machinery announced the sale of its flagship automatic
die-cutting machine Maxima Exb-35 to Rajkot-based Karachi Offset at
PrintPack India 2013.
“We
are proud to announce that the company has installed 54 Maxima Exb-35
since its humble start in 1987. Out of this 12 machines were sold last
year,” said Jitendra Patel of Excel Machinery.
The
25x35.5inch automatic die-cutting machine is targeted at the mid- and
large-sized packaging firms. Patel further added, “We have added
features which assist smooth operation and self-diagnosis for faulty
set-ups plus various safety measures to the machine.”
The
machine can be equipped with an optional feature of zero-gripper system
which is useful for producing large size cartons especially for textile
packaging. “It helps in reducing wastage caused due to gripper

According
to Patel, there is an awareness among Indian printers regarding the
significance of automation. Patel said, “With high speed presses in the
market, the Maxima can replace four manual die-cutting machines and
thereby increase production speeds as well as save labour costs.”

terms of precision and performance, we are not far behind the European
machine, but in terms of value and return on investment,We're
responsible for the installation and maintenance of street lamp.
we are certainly a better option than most Chinese machines." The last
three years has seen Excel investing Rs 2-crore in expanding its plant
both in machinery and space.
“We are now producing 18 machine per annum, and are targeting production and sale of 25 machines next year,” said Patel.
Manugraph
the Indian manufacturer of web offset presses has unveiled two new
products from Masterwork Machinery. This includes MK 420 which is a
automatic sheet inspection machine and MK 1060 M/MF which is a automatic
die-cutting machine. Manugraph is the Indian representative for
Masterwork Machinery.
Pradeep
Shah, managing director at Manugraph India, said, “The packaging
business is witnessing double digit growth in India. Today, consumer
will not accept product which is not packed. In order to attract the
consumer, the packaging of the product has to be really world-class.”
Shah
added, “There are many players in the post-finishing segment and
addition of one player will only add to the advantage as the requirement
is growing.Integrated manufacturing operations have produced
exceptional solar module and related products.Our laser marking machine can mark on metal and non metals. Our concept is very clear. This factsheet discusses electricity generation using wind power generators at your farm or your home. Besides our core business, we would like to concentrate on the trading part.”
Besides Masterwork Machinery products, Manugraph has also launched Manugraph F 122-BK and M360-BK bookline press.
Shah
said, “The growth in the newspaper is stagnant. The main reason may be
due to low advertisement ratio. The new press is directed towards book
printing segment which looks promising.”
