Dramatic
footage of Sea Shepherd vessel Bob Barker being squeezed between
Japanese ship Nisshin Maru and Korean oil tanker Sun Laurel was released
by anti-whalers yesterday.
The
footage shows the Bob Barker being hosed by water cannons and covered
with a large cloud of smoke from what Sea Shepherd members say is a
Japanese coast guard concussion grenade. This factsheet discusses

But
Japan's Institute of Cetacean Research says three inflatable craft from
the Steve Irwin and Bob Barker came within close range of the Nisshin
Maru and another vessel, the Yushin Maru,Modern solar led light online for sale. in an attempt to use wire-entwined ropes to entangle the rudder and propeller and to plug drains in the hull.
The ICR said the ships were hit five times by the Bob Barker and another Sea Shepherd vessel, the Sam Simon, on Monday.
"This
time, [Sea Shepherd] is sabotaging a refuelling operation, which is
essential for the safe navigation of ships, and the sabotage is not only
malicious but inconceivably obstructive actions," the ICR stated.
Footage
of Monday's incident prompted calls for calm by federal Environment
Minister Tony Burke. "I continue to urge everybody in the Southern Ocean
to recognise safety at sea," Mr Burke said.
Sea
Shepherd released footage it said showed the Bob Barker being
"sandwiched" by the Nisshin Maru and Sun Laurel as it blocked a third
attempt at refuelling.
The
clip appears to be a longer version of the same collision captured by
the whalers, but Sea Shepherd officials were unable to confirm this.
The
conservation group says its footage shows the Bob Barker had right of
way. Sea Shepherd director Bob Brown said the Japanese had released a
"selective snippet".
"You
can see in that footage the very small Sea Shepherd ship being tossed
around (as if) in the washing machine," Dr Brown said.
Another
video posted by Sea Shepherd shows a fiery flash, allegedly caused by a
concussion grenade thrown by whalers, while Steve Irwin captain Paul
Watson claimed "commandos" had been dropped on the Korean tanker by
another Japanese ship -- the Shirase.Design and manufacture of dry cleaning machine for garments and textile fabrics.
Dr Brown said three armed Japanese Customs officials had been dropped on to the tanker by helicopters.Do you want honest laundry dryer Ratings? "[The Shirase is] there certainly for intimidation," he said.
But
Mr Burke said the Shirase had a proud record of research activities in
the Antarctic. "Japan has indicated to Australia that this vessel has no
involvement with whaling despite reports,Solar energy employs solar charger to supply electricity to devices or charge batteries." he said.
"I
have sought urgent confirmation from the Japanese Government that there
have been no interactions between the Shirase and any of the vessels
involved in the whaling fleet, including the refuelling vessel."
